Hello! My name is Susan Haines and I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Iowa. With over 25 years experience I can help you to address those issues that have you looking for a place to turn. Maybe its emotional imbalance, persistent anxiety or relationship problems? Maybe you've experienced trauma in your life? Or maybe there's a nagging feeling that life could just be better? To your therapy I will bring experience coupled with extensive training. This reinforces a capacity not only to hear you, but active incorporation of resources, interventions and skills to help support the goals you identify. As an EMDR certified therapist, I actively incorporate this resource when addressing such areas as trauma, anxiety, compulsive behavior and negative core beliefs of self. I have extensive experience in areas which include: trauma, anxiety, depression, body image, compulsive behavior, substance abuse/dependence, attachment and personality issues. I balance my work with a passion for many life areas. This starts and stops with my family (my husband, son and step son) along with "too many" animals (dogs and cats). I love time outdoors hiking and enjoying the beautiful parks around us. I am definitely a "rock and earth" person living for our trips to the Rocky Mountains along with "hands to earth" where I love caring for my gardens and home.
